What is your primary product or service?
Our Oriental Antique Rug Gallery and Showroom in Dallas features an unparalleled selection of antique Persian rugs, antique Turkish Oushaks, Antique European Gobelins Tapestries, Antique Distressed Rugs, Savonnerie and Aubusson carpets. We also offer a variety of vintage rugs and carpets, consisting of tribal Moroccan rugs, mid-century rugs and modern Art Deco rugs. Whether you are looking for antique rugs, vintage rugs, new rugs, carpet and stair runners or tapestries, you can be assured that you will find it here. We are one of Dallas' "hidden treasures" and you will definitely want to explore our rug inventory! We have expanded and diversified our customer base over the last five years with the renowned vintage and antique online marketplaces, 1stdibs and One Kings Lane.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Ali practically grew up in his family's Oriental rug store and became a key contributor right here in Dallas, Texas. He was destined to follow in his family's footsteps from one of the greatest generations, and as such would be the one building his family's legacy. In 1989, Ali opened his Oriental rug showroom at 8583 Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood, California. Missing his family and the Texas hospitality, Ali moved back to Dallas and opened Esmaili Rugs and Antiques, Inc. in the Dallas Design District (1995). Ali Esmaili has spent his life studying and working with artisans, collectors, designers and purveyors of distinctive and historical rugs. He has developed and maintained relationships for over thirty years with manufacturers, interior designers and trade professionals.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
At Esmaili Rugs and Antiques, Inc., our objectives are simple: 1) To be the Oriental Rug resource across a diverse range of design styles and budgets 2) Simplify the Oriental Rug shopping process for interior designers, trade professionals and consumers. Exceptional quality, extraordinary value and outstanding customer service have earned Esmaili Rugs and Antiques, Inc. a reputation that is based on integrity and trust. Ali Esmaili travels worldwide to find the best selection of Oriental rugs. We currently have two locations. With such a large selection of Oriental rugs, we pride ourselves in being one of the leading importers of fine rugs in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex. We are constantly filling our showroom with new rug shipments. Currently, we stock over 4,500 rugs. Whether you are looking for antique rugs, vintage rugs, new or distressed rugs, carpet and stair runners or tapestries, you can be assured that you will find it here.
