How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
With a profound interest in health, science and nutrition since childhood, I knew I would go into medicine. During my first year as an undergraduate at The University of Texas I began searching for a medical system that seeks to heal the condition by treating the root of the problem, rather than just the presenting symptoms. I wanted a medicine with a holistic view of the person, a medicine that allows us to connect all of the pieces of the puzzle in order to see the whole picture of a person's health. I found this in Traditional East Asian Medicine. I liked that it is natural, allows the body to self-heal, and has withstood the test of time. I began receiving weekly acupuncture treatments and cooking herbs which were prescribed to me for migraines that I had had since infancy. In only three months, I went from having migraines 4-5 days a weeks, to having not even a mild headache of any kind for over 2 years. I have since helped many people transition into a healthier state, and I feel blessed for being able to share this medicine, which has become such a part of my life, with those I have the pleasure of working with.
