What is your primary product or service?
Frame-by-frame captures of 8mm & Super 8 film to digital. We also transfer 16mm film and video tapes to DVD or harddrives, CD/DVD Duplication, photo to video slideshows, slide scanning and most all other digital transfer services. We can handle almost all video and tape formats here in our studio...NEVER SENDING OUT TO A 3rd PARTY for transfer.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
The Action Video Service creative team has over fifty combined years of production experience and has been honored with Telly, Communicator, Aegis, and DV awards among others. Action Video Service was founded in 1999 and is located in Richardson, Texas in the Dallas Ft. Worth metroplex. Owner Lance Gray brings years of professional production experience to the partnership and has worked with clients across the US and around the world. Action Video Service offers a variety of video & film transfer services, as well as editing.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We *NEVER* ship out projects to 3rd Parties (like most of our competitors ~ everything project is processed on-site). By combining craftsmanship, care, artistry and detailed understanding of business communication, Action Video Service is committed to creative media that is focused on results for our clients. Action Video Service values customer service, integrity & satisfaction above all else, and we are constantly challenging ourselves to be up to date on the current digital media needs of the public.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We currently have the one location in Richardson (in the Tom Thumb Shopping Center), but we are open to possibilities of expansion to surrounding areas.

We are located approximately one mile West of 75 Central Expressway, after the light at Westshore Dr. on the South side of Arapaho in the Tom Thumb Shopping Center. From the light at Westshore Dr. headed West on Arapaho, we are the first left turn into the Tom Thumb Shopping Center parking lot, next to H.& R. Block and CURVES.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept Visa/Mastercard, American Express, Debit Cards, Checks & Cash.
Which areas do you service?
The entire United States and Internationally.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
The combined efforts of Lance Gray (CEO), Lee Smith, Nigel Parton & Kim Kennedy help to run our daily operations. Drop by our studio anytime (M-F 9-6pm, Sat 9-1pm)...it's upscale, clean, and you can always try your hand at our classic arcade games in the lobby.
What are your hours of operation?
Action Video Service is open for business daily, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. & Saturdays 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
The realization that we bring the past "back to life" for our clients. Often times, seeing tears in our clients eyes when they view their old home movies says it all.
