Weaving, Spinning, Felting, Basketmaking - Equipment, Supplies, Classes
Our weaving classes provide instruction for weavers on all levels of expertise. Beginners weave a patterned sampler as a scarf. Intermediate and advanced weavers design projects of their own, using traditional or contemporary techniques of their choice. A wide variety of yarns are available for purchase. Currently, we have a waiting list for our weaving classes.
We stock a variety of small "rigid heddle" and tapestry looms for new weavers who want to "try out" weaving on a smaller scale, and for experienced weavers who would like to have small, very portable looms.
Spinning is taught with individual lessons, by appointment. Spinners learn to use wool, from sheep, to make their own yarn. We sell a large range of spinning fibers and we represent major manufacturers of spinning wheels and equipment.
We carry extensive supplies for felting and needle felting. The wool "roving" that we have for spinners is the material that felters also use. We offer classes in felting and needle felting from time to time. We sell books and DVDs that are excellent learning resources for these crafts.
We also offer basket weaving classes from time to time. We have basket reed, tools and books in stock.
